DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1) Read Isaiah 40:12-17

Shows us how mighty God is to have measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked of the heavens with a span (of his hand) and who taught him the path of justice and knowledge.... the answer to these questions is a resounding "NO ONE."

Describe an experience big or small where you saw the mighty hand of God working in your life or in someone else's life.

2)  Read V. 11 How does it make you feel that God is mighty in creation, mighty in knowledge and mighty over nations but yet so tender and intimately involved over his sheep/lambs.

Describe an occasion when you felt the tender and loving hands of God over you when you needed it most.

3) V. 9 is a call to "Behold your God!" Who is to make this proclamation?

How would you this Christmas:

"Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Our Jesus Christ is born"

Share as a CG how you would bear witness to the birth of Jesus to those who dont know tis mighty God yet.

4) Revelation 5:3-10  uses the mixed metaphor of t he Lion and the Lamb.  How does Jesus come to us as the Lion and the Lamb and how can we take comfort in this knowledge.

5) Pray together.
