Discussion Questions

  1. When Joshua asked, "Are you for us, or for our adversaries?", the answer was "No" because he had asked the wrong question. Why is it the wrong question? Any lesson for us?
  2. Joshua's encounter with the Angel of the LORD shows that God's work is to be done in submission to Him. In light of this, comment on Philippians 1:15-18.
  3. Share how the teaching "Use human means but trust in God and not in human means" can be put into practice in our life and work. 
  4. Before God instructed Joshua on how to capture Jericho, He announced that He had already given the city into his hand. Why would God do that? How is this relevant to the Church?
