DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1) Read Acts 12:1-5  These were dark days for the church in Jerusalem. James execution and Peter's arrest.

What is your assessment of the Christian church in Malaysia? Asia?  We do have some diffculties and "dark days" - what might that be?

2) How do you think we can respond ? How did the early church respond?

3) "The church of Christ has been founded by shedding its own blood, not that of others, by enduring outrage not inflicting it. Persecutions have made it grow, martyrdoms have crowned it." - St Jerome 355 AD

How did the church shed its own blood in its founding?  How can our church in the 21st century endure outrage instead of inflicting it?  How shall we view persecutions and martyrdoms?  Discouragement?  Resignment?

4) The speaker pointed us to Revelation 6:9-11 & 7:13   The end is written and is sure. How does that make us feel? How does it motivate us to work?

Take sometime to pray for the persecuted churches.  Look up this site:

Ask God how we can be more involved?
