Discussion Questions
1. How would you describe your relationship with possessions now? Are you more generous or more of a hoarder? Give an example or two of why that’s the case.
2. What is something you would struggle to part with for the sake of the Kingdom of God? Think of certain persons, positions, powers, or possessions.
3. We’ll struggle to follow Jesus’s commands until (1) we’re given new, obedient hearts, and (2) we know that we will be gaining a Father who provides through the church. Which of these two truths do you find harder to internalise?
4. What are some ways in which our church can be a Home, Brother, Sister, Mother, Child or Provider (“Field”) (10:29–30) to a persecuted Christian who has lost it all?
