Discussion Questions

1. The Landlord planted the vineyard and put considerable effort into it before leasing it to the tenants (12:1). In what ways is this comparable to what the Lord did for Israel and for us?   
2. The Parable of the Tenants aludes to the “love song” of the vineyard in Isaiah 5. What was the complaint of the Lord of the vineyard concerning the people of Israel? Will the Lord make similar complaints concerning His Church today? 
3. Why do you think God - like the Landlord - had been witholding judgment on the world? 
4. A person may claim to have put his/her faith in Jesus, yet rejects Him. In what ways does a person reject Jesus? (see for example: Hebrews 10:26-30 and Matthew 25:31-46). 
5. How can the Gospel help us live a life that bears fruits to God’s glory?
