Discussion Questions

1. Share an occasion when God seemingly disrupted plans in your life.  How did respond? Compare it to Paul's response in the beginning of this passage.

2. Though we do not see many demon-possessed people around us, are there people around you who are nonetheless tormented/ controlled by their past or some other things in their lives, how can we attend to these people?

3. How can we rejoice in the midst of our suffering as Paul and Silas did in the midst of their suffering? What does it (rejoicing in midst of suffering) look like?

4. In response to the Gospel, how can we be hospitable and rejoicing as Lydia and the Philippian jailer did?  As a CG how can we be hospitable to those outside our community?

Break into groups and pray for one another.
