Sermon Questions
1. What was your experience like in the last few months? Was it difficult or easy to find rest?
2. God calls, sanctifies and gives rest to his people. This is true for the Israelites and it’s also true for Christians today. Do you see rest as a part of the Gospel we preach?
3. Resting in Christ frees us from self-sufficiency (trying time earn God’s acceptance) and the anxiety of an uncertain future. Discuss if you have struggled with these anxieties.
4. Do you have the discipline of regular sabbath rest? What are some ways that you can start practicing it this week?
