Scripture: 1 Peter 2:1-10

Discussion Questions

  1. How do these behaviours which Peter tells us to put away in 1 Pet 2:1 still display itself in our fellowship with one another? What is the root (idol) of these behaviours? (Why do we do them?)
  2. "As new born babes long for the spiritual milk...." Do we naturally long for it? Why or why not? What practical things can we do?
  3. Come to Him "as living stones and together we are being built up as a spiritual house" v4. Discuss the implications of this verse on our fellowship and worship on Sunday.
  4. "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." - 1 Peter 2:9
    • what do each of the above say about who we are?
    • How should we live in light of who we are?
    • Give some practical applications
  5. Since we are born again, Peter tells us to love earnestly from a pure heart. How do we do that practically in our fellowship?
