Our inheritance is God Himself

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. What difference does it make to know that God chose us before the foundations of the earth that we should be holy and blameless in him (Ephesians 1:3-4). Will we live any differently?
2. Just as the people of Israel experienced God's power and presence as they took possession of the land, so we too have the promised Holy Spirit as "a guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it." So now, we have this guarantee of the possession, but we have not acquire possession of it. How does it help you live your life here and now with courage and strength? Can you give examples of how the Spirit helps you live?
3. The early Christians understood something that sometimes modern Christians have forgotten, and that is that the kingdom is not only future, but because the king who is yet to come has already come, the future has invaded history. "The kingdom of God is near...(Mark 1:15)  "behold the kingdom of God is in your midst.." (Luke 17:21). How do you live your life with a kingdom mindset or with eternity in mind at work? at school? in college? in your neighborhood?  
4. Please share how you intend to be a faithful witness, salt and light at your workplace or school or college or neighbourhood? Please pray for one another.
