DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 

Joshua 18:1-7

  1. The remaining 7 tribes have "put off" what God has called them to do eventhough the possession of the land is assured. Have you experienced a laxity or a lack of passion in your spiritual walk with God? What does it look like?
     
  2. Joshua 13:13, 15:63, 16:9-10, 17:12-13 speaks of how the people fail in removing the inhabitants as God commanded. In Judges 2:12-13 we see how this was a bad decision. Can you name some idols of the heart that you struggle with? Speaker suggested: Comfort, Affirmation, Power and Control. 
     
  3. Just like the people of Israel felt a laxity in taking possession, we too in our Christian journey experience fatigue and laxity. Share your struggles, difficulties as a Christian.
     
  4. 2 Pet 1:3-10. How does this passage encourage us in our Christian journey? How does this verse make you feel? 
     
  5. How does the grace of God and His love for us help you grow in knowledge of Him? In the process, how does this make you grow in love for one another?
